This project consisted of the analysis and design of the distribution network, third-party warehouse outsourcing analysis, and transportation consolidation modeling.

• Coordinated the work of the alliance partners on the project (J.B. Hunt, ShipXact, and Shippers Commonwealth).
• Developed a final business case which projected a $200,000 transportation savings for the client.

Other Projects

• Financial Performance Measurement – assisted Activity Based Costing assessment that will help the client earn two million Dollars a year by pricing its products correctly.
• IT Assessment – analyzed the organization’s IT investment and suggested several productivity improvements.
• IT Conversion – converted a client’s fixed asset recording process from manual spreadsheets to FAS 90 which allowed them to find considerable depreciation savings by performing automated “what-if” analysis.
• IT Infrastructure Outsourcing Selection – researched infrastructure outsourcing market space for a client in order to determine which vendor would provide the highest quality service at the best possible price.

ExxonMobil - Business Process Advisor

Utilized knowledge of business process improvement to contribute to the creation of a process management program for the new $2B global IS organization

• Consulted on all aspects of the Process Improvement Lifecycle.
• Facilitated conceptual and detailed process design sessions attended by the international Senior Leadership Team.
• Provided leadership to the global Cost Capture and Billing and Planning and Budgeting process reengineering efforts.
• Developed detailed process designs, RACI (roles and responsibilities) spreadsheets, process metrics, and process principles for Cost Capture and Billing and Planning and Budgeting.

High Tech Start-up Company - Web Programming Team Lead

Demonstrated extensive experience in all phases of Internet development by leading the design, build and test of a module that allows the web-based eScheduling application to accept resumes from external sources.

• Collaborated with client to gather business requirements and create a functional and technical design document.
• Managed the development team which successfully met all development deadlines, and produced software that successfully made it through all phases of testing without any major revisions.
• Programmed software that parsed the XML resume into three separate files using XSL, Apache XALAN parser and a Java application.
• Persuaded members of the HR XML consortium to incorporate fields into the schema that our application required.

Texas Utilities (TXU) - Web Portal Functional Designer

Analyzed the portal environment and successfully designed a “portal” application for TXU’s commercial and industrial customers

• Facilitated brainstorming sessions with forty of TXU’s largest customers to identify useful portal functionality.
• Wrote a detailed business requirements document describing the portals functionality.
• Presented a storyboard mockup to key TXU executives which earned the three million Dollar implementation contract.

Texas Utilities (TXU) - Web Portal Programmer

Participated on a team that developed and deployed a web-based “portal” application where content is derived from various sources including weather, stock and commodity markets, message boards, and existing TXU web applications.

• Negotiated contract with third-party vendor Energy Interactive to incorporate their energy profiling application.
• Successfully developed module that integrates Energy Interactive’s energy profiling web application into the portal using the following technologies: Java, Java Script, JSP, XML, XSL, and Epicentric APIs.
• Managed java developer assisting in the development of Energy Interactive module.

Texas Utilities (TXU) - EBPP Functional Designer

Led the effort to determine which Electronic Billing Payment and Presentment model best supports TXU’s marketing strategy.

• Facilitated several meeting wth the TXU and eDocs representative (third-party billing vendor)
• Teamed with eDocs to create a final presentation consisting of the strategy, implementation timeline, and workplan.
• Earned the $3M contract to build and deploy the EBPP website.

Shell E&P - Client/Server Interface & Conversion Lead

The scope of the project included replacing all of Shell E&P’S financial systems with SAP IS Oil for Joint Venture accounting. Additionally, we replaced all financial interfaces between SAP and Shell’s legacy systems.
